Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation

The ministry has contributed to the following:

-rehabilitating and lining the canals

-developing water resources using groundwater and harvesting flood water and rainwater

-establishing and replacing lifting stations

-establishing and renewing agricultural drainage networks

-developing and protecting the course of the Nile River and establishing, strengthening and rehabilitating major facilities along the waterways

-the integrated system to benefit from the Bahr El-Baqar Wastewater Treatment Plant

-developing the sources of the Nile River Basin; proposed path of the navigation line project Lake Victoria- Mediterranean Sea

-removing encroachments affecting irrigation benefits

-replacing and renewing major hydraulic facilities

-protecting and developing the Egyptian coasts and beaches

-Tahya Misr Fund projects
