Inauguration of Nuweiba Seawater Desalination Plant

A seawater desalination plant was established in Nuweiba City, with a capacity of 15,000 m3/day, and the project consists of:

• A 20×30 m desalination building.
• A 4×8 m storage units.
• A network of pipes of different diameters.
• A 11 x 20 m administrative building.
• A seawater intake.
• A 6 x 20 m-long transformers and generators building.
• A 450 m-long wall.
• Three desalination units with a production capacity of 5000 m3/day.
• 2 electricity generators with a capacity of 1500 kVA.
• Preliminary treatment facilities.
• Water pumps.
• Covered filters.
• Energy saver through water reuse, thus saving 40% of the consumed energy.
