Hurghada International Airport Development Project

On December 17, 2014, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi opened several important projects implemented by the armed forces in the city of Hurghada during the last period, and was accompanied by Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, Prime Minister, and the first team, Sidqi Sobhi, the Commander in Chief and Minister of Defense and Production Al-Harbi, Engineer Hani Dahi, Minister of Transport, Ministers of Tourism, Aviation, Housing and Local Development, Major General Ahmed Abdullah, Governor of the Red Sea, and Hisham Abu Sunna, Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Authority.

 Development work in the new passenger terminal:
 • Developing the airport's technical, administrative and insurance works, establishing a 4 km runway and increasing the airport's capacity to accommodate 7.5 million passengers annually.
 • Establishing an air field on an area of ​​425 thousand square meters, containing 16 new aircraft sites, including two giant aircraft sites, bringing the number of sites at Hurghada Airport to 52 sites at the airport.
 • Installing the latest security services according to international and international specifications and providing the best services provided to travelers, as the building contains two travel and arrival halls, 11 departure gates connected to the aircraft by bridges directly, as well as 9 departure gates to serve remote aircraft by bus.
