Damietta Port Development

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the inauguration of the project to deepen the shipping lane and the rotation basin of Damietta Port via video conference.
The waterway was deepened by 16 meters and the harbor basin was deepened by 15 meters. The sidewalks that were constructed are 90 meters in length.
Also, the current maintenance plan at the port (the sidewalks - the civil facility) and the investment opportunities in the port (the establishment of a multi-purpose station with berths that are 630 meters in length and 17 meters in depth - the establishment of a station). Moreover, the future projects in the port and the cargo transportation system through rail and river transport from the port were also reviewed.
