Hydroelectric Power Plant in Asyut Barrages

The Asyut Barrage project includes the construction of a clean (environmentally friendly) hydroelectric plant, consisting of 4 water units, each with a capacity of 8 MW. Its production capacity is 32 MW.
Hydroelectric plants are characterized by its long lifetime and low operating and maintenance costs compared to other power plants. They provide about 50 thousand tons of fuel and contribute to reducing emissions of carbon dioxide.
The production of the plant has been linked with Al-Maasara transformer station in the Al-Fateh Center and linked to the national grid, so that it can fully illuminate Asyut Governorate in case of electrical faults.
