Khatatba Axis on the Nile

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi unveiled Khatatba Axis Project, the first axis to be implemented on the Nile in less than two years, with a length of 7200 meters and a width of 42 meters. It is designed to bear a load estimated at 120 tons to serve transportation traffic between the governorates of the Delta, and it includes an overpass bridge system, the largest of which is over Rashid (Rosetta) branch of the Nile with a height of 12 meters, and 2 irrigation channels in addition to Cairo-Manashi Railway line. Thus, the axis is one of the most important construction works in the field of bridges and tunnels.

Khatatba Axis is 7.2 km long and 42 meter-wide, and it is designed to bear a load estimated at a capacity of 120 tons, and it consists of 4 lanes. With regard to the height of bridge, it reaches 12 meters above water surface, and also consists of 4 overpass bridge, which are "Birqash, the railway, El-Rayah El-Behery (El-Behery channel) and El-Rayah El-Nasry (El-Rayah channel)", + tunnel.

Facilitating traffic, alleviating congestion in the main roads in Egypt and saving time for citizens.
