Sunday, 30 June 2024 / 10:10 AM

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful”

The great people of Egypt,

Today, Egypt celebrates the 11th anniversary of the glorious June 30th Revolution, which marked a watershed moment in the nation’s history, when the Egyptian people definitively stated their unwavering patriotism, rejecting any attempts to undermine or hijack it by unpatriotic forces. It was the day when the Egyptians declared their position clearly, safeguarding their homeland, reclaiming control over their nation's resources, and ending an arduous period of chaos and destruction. They then embarked on a path of goodness, development, and progress despite all hardships and challenges, after rediscovering the strength and resilience of the Egyptian and demonstrably exposing the essence of his authentic character, which embodies the values of honor, pride, glory and heroism.

Since 2013 until today, we have witnessed a remarkable transformation, with stability ultimately prevailing in our country after a period of mayhem. Security has found its way into our hearts after years of fear and anxiety for the fate of the nation, and state institutions have stabilized after weathering tumultuous times.

During those years, we have eradicated terrorism, despite the difficulties encountered and the formidable sacrifices offered. We laid the foundation for sustainable development with massive efforts by and dedication of Egypt’s robust people. We conquered every sector with its complex problems and accumulated crises, without shirking responsibility, fully aware of our great people's capabilities.

Today, we are standing on solid ground: a state with robust institutions, where security and stability prevail in a troubled regional environment, a state that enjoys advanced infrastructure in all sectors and works tirelessly day and night to build and modernize factories; reclaim millions of feddans of desert land; improve health and education services befitting the Egyptian people; construct cities, roads, energy networks and irrigation systems; establish and upgrade a strategic network of ports; and connect all parts of the country with diverse fast and modern transportation routes.

Noble people of Egypt,

You are undoubtedly aware of the significant changes unfolding in the region over the past period: the brutal Israeli war on the Gaza Strip that is met with conspicuous absence of humanity’s conscience and deafening silence from the international community, which turned a blind eye to tens of thousands of innocent, displaced and shattered victims, and the malicious attempts to impose a forced displacement into Egyptian territories.

Throughout these developments, Egypt's unshakable stance has been noble, honorable, and patriotic, with actions not only words. Egypt was steadfast in providing aid to its Palestinian brothers with all power and determination, and stood-up firmly with dignity and honor against attempts of forced displacement. Its voice resonated loudly and clearly in defense of its national security and in the face of attempts to liquidate Palestinian rights.

Honorable people of Egypt,

Despite the challenges, Egypt continues on the path of development and renaissance, and by the will of Allah the Almighty, there is no turning back from this course or from achieving the Egyptian dream of progress and decent life for all citizens. Here, I address all Egyptians, every Egyptian man and woman, enduring the hardships and rising prices in recent times to secure a good life for their children. I address the honorable fighters among Egypt's great people, spread across our vast land, telling to them: "I am fully aware of the extent of your suffering, and I assure you that alleviating this suffering, creating more job opportunities and building a better future for all honorable Egyptians are the top priorities of the new government."

In conclusion, I extend profound respect and admiration to all martyrs of our homeland, our sons and daughters who sacrificed their lives to preserve and protect our homeland. We tell their families: “Egypt’s noble people hold in high regard those who have given their all for their homeland. We pledge to work together to build a strong and dignified nation worthy of the magnitude of their sacrifices, a crown above our heads illuminating the path towards the future that we aspire to.”

Thank you,

And always with the help of Allah the Almighty:

Long live Egypt, Long live Egypt, Long live Egypt,

May Allah's peace and mercy be upon you
