President El-Sisi Follows Up on Milk Collection Centers National Project

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aty, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Ali El-Meselhy, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Mr. Al-Sayed El-Quseir and Director General of the National Service Projects Organization Major General Mostafa Amin.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed the national project aimed to establish and develop milk collection centers nationwide, in addition to a number of projects in the agricultural sector.

In this context, President El-Sisi was briefed on the current status of the milk collection centers. His Excellency said, in this regard, that the State would bear the costs of centers to obtain the international quality certificate, whose value is EGP 50,000. These state efforts aim to support breeders and farmers within the framework of small and medium enterprises, ensure the high quality of dairy products and food safety, which have a direct effect on the health of citizens, and open prospects for exporting these products, thus doubling the financial return for workers in this sector by enhancing the value of the product.

The Minister of Agriculture also presented the latest developments in a number of livestock production projects and stressed the existing cooperation in this regard between the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Service Projects Organization. President El-Sisi called for increasing the number of veterinary caravans across Egypt.
The Minister of Irrigation also presented a number of the ministry’s projects aimed at providing irrigation water, especially in the northern desert areas. President El-Sisi gave directives, in this context, for improving irrigation mechanisms and using modern technology, especially for the national project concerned with the integrated development of the desert environment in the northwestern coast, in particular.
