President El-Sisi Follows-up on NSPO Projects Nationwide

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Director General of the National Service Projects Organization of the Armed Forces Major General Walid Abul Magd; Chairman of the National Animal Production Company Major General Mohamed Salah; CEO of Al Delta company, a Jordanian company for meat production, Basheer Fareed and businessman Mohammed Halawa.
The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that the meeting followed-up on a number of National Service projects across the country.
Developments pertinent to the construction of a dairy factory in Borg El Arab were reviewed, including equipment and production lines carried out in partnership with the private sector and long-standing foreign expertise in the field. The factory will be built on ​​40,000 square meters with a production capacity that will reach 12,000 tons of cheese annually.
The President gave directives to be selective with the provision of all the factory components including specialized technical labor, raw materials, production requirements, and packaging materials so as to ensure the highest quality of cheese production, especially types that are currently imported to make them available in the local market, with the aim of bridging the import gap and opening prospects for future export opportunities.
The President also gave directives to continue enhancing efforts to establish advanced milk collection centers nationwide and providing them with laboratory tests, storage, and the necessary veterinary services, in order to reduce dependence on importing milk and achieving an added value for small breeders.
The Spokesman added that the meeting also reviewed the status of the partnership between Egypt and Jordan for the development of livestock and feed production, with the aim of covering the needs of the local market.
President El-Sisi gave directives to consolidate partnership with the Jordanian side in this sector in order to provide the Egyptian market with high productivity meet breeds, maintain the strategic stock of live cattle in Egypt and reduce reliance on imports.
