President El-Sisi on an Inspection Tour of Military Academy

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi went on a tour of inspection at dawn of the headquarters of the Military Academy. His Excellency was accompanied by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the inspection visit reflects the President’s keenness to follow up on the training and preparation programs for the cadets in the Military Academy. His Excellency attended different physical training activities, including horseback riding, of the students showcasing their skills, joined them in doing some morning exercises, and had breakfast with them.


The President delivered a speech, during the visit, in which he congratulated the new cadets on their success in joining the Military Academy. President El-Sisi stressed his keenness to closely follow up on all the procedures and admission tests and to communicate with the new students at the beginning of their first academic year at the Academy.


The President also praised the cadets’ high capabilities and competence and the efforts they have made to achieve the highest levels of readiness at the Academy. His Excellency called on them to stay on track to maintain their fitness and sustain high levels of physical and mental agility, urging them to uphold the high and noble military values of discipline, diligence, commitment, and the constant desire to learn and acquire knowledge, which have always characterized the Egyptian Armed Forces, in order to become a role model for other young people.


The Spokesman added that an open dialogue occurred between the President and the new students, where the President touched on the results of the recent presidential visit to France and the mutual understanding and coordination they reflected with the aim of achieving stability in the region.

The President also spoke of the efforts being made to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially on the military, security and cultural levels, demonstrating the fundamental national policy of opening up to all major countries and establishing balanced relations for the sake of building, development and reconstruction and moving away from polarization.


The President also showcased the state’s response to the coronavirus crisis, which was carried out in a scientific and balanced manner through closely following precautionary measures and equipping COVID-19 isolation hospitals, as well as alerting and mobilizing all state agencies concerned to respond. In this respect, the President stated that Egypt has received the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines from the United Arab Emirates, extending his thanks and appreciation to the sisterly country and confirming the distinguished relations binding Egypt and the sisterly Gulf states, particularly the UAE.


Concluding his visit, the President praised the sacrifices made by the brave men of the Egyptian Armed Forces in order to protect the homeland, stressing the Egyptian people's appreciation for these sincere efforts aimed at preserving the security and stability of the homeland and standing in the face of any attempt to undermine it.
