Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected a number of armored vehicles, which were developed by the Armed Forces. Director of the Vehicles Department of the Armed Forces Kamel Wafai and Assistant Director of the Armament Department Mohamed Abdel Fattah were present.
The Spokesman for the Presidency said the President inspected various models of armored vehicles, which were developed in the armed forces’ factories, according to the state-of-art design and manufacturing systems. This included optimizing the vehicles capabilities to become armoured multi-purpose vehicles, for both the Armed Forces and civilian police forces. This is in addition to boosting their maneuvering and protection capabilities.
The President was given a thorough and detailed explanation on the design and manufacturing stages, showing the level of advancement of this industry, in keeping up with the world cutting edge methods followed. This paves the way for their display in the second round of Egypt Defense Expo, EDEX 2021.
The President was also updated on details of the executive measures and time-schedule for the localization of the electric vehicles industry in Egypt, with the aim of keeping up with global progress in this field.
