President El-Sisi Meets with PM, Minister of CIT and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Staff Major General Ehab El-Far.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that, during the meeting, the implementation status of the technological structure for digitizing the state agencies and the efforts to raise the efficiency of human resources in this context were presented. The projects of the Center of Applications of Artificial Intelligence were also discussed.

In this context, the President gave directives for applying the highest international standards via using the latest technologies and relevant devices in establishing communications and digitization projects. The established principle of governing performance should be taken into account and harmony should be achieved among all government sectors regarding the issue of digital transformation of the Egyptian state.

The Minister of Communications presented the developments of the establishment of the Center of Applications of Artificial Intelligence and its organizational structure, which aims to establish several projects in the areas of urban planning, health, agriculture and irrigation, and economic analysis. The efforts for training and qualifying human cadres taking part in the digitization project in order to support government performance and provide the latest digital services to citizens nationwide were further tackled.

The Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority also presented the modern technological structure within the framework of the National Project for Digitization and the Center of Applications of Artificial Intelligence. The implementation status and construction works of some major national projects, particularly the New Administrative Capital with its districts and sectors, such as the government district, People's Square, central gardens and Misr Mosque as well as the education complex were further addressed. Moreover, the latest developments of the national project aimed to extend the road, axes and bridges network nationwide were presented.
