President El-Sisi Meets with Minister of Defense and Air Force Commander

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met this morning with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki, in the presence of Commander of the Air Force Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the President was briefed on several issues related to the activities of the main branches of the Armed Forces, especially the Air Force.

His Excellency was also briefed on the results of the discussions held during the recent foreign visits of the Minister of Defense, within the framework of joint military cooperation between the Egyptian Armed Forces and its counterparts in some friendly countries. The results of the recent joint military exercises with a number of friendly armies were discussed.

The President praised the role played by the men of the armed forces for achieving progress in the field of security and stability and for imposing a strategic balance in the region.

The President also saluted the men of the Armed Forces for the sacrifices they make for the sake of the homeland to maintain the security and safety of the Egyptian people. His Excellency stressed the great potentials the Egyptian Armed Forces has in all of its branches, specializations and armament systems. In this regard, the President called for further maintaining the highest state of readiness to protect Egypt's national security in light of the great challenges that ravage the region.
