The President Meets Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning and Chairman of Engineering Authority

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Ihab Al-Far, Assistant to the Chairman of the Engineering Authority for Projects Major General Khaled Mubarak, Director of Armed Forces Engineering Authority Advisory Office Major General Ashraf El-Araby and Assistant Director of road designs at the Engineering Authority Brigadier General Abdel Aziz El-Feki.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the meeting discussed the construction situation of the Engineering Authority projects nationwide, especially in the New Administrative Capital. The status of the Diplomatic District, "Marabet" Project (City of Egyptian and Arabian Horses) and Egypt’s Islamic Cultural Center was also discussed.

Work progress of a number of national construction projects, especially the Integrated Transport Center, located north of the intersection of Suez Road with the Ring Road, was also presented during the meeting. This is in addition to the presentation of the latest updates in Cairo International Airport and the public transport station situated in front of the Cairo Metro station in Gesr El-Suez as well as the road network in the vicinity of Greater Cairo. The meeting addressed efforts made to ensure the optimum use of land areas on both sides of the new axes, which would contribute to reducing the burden on citizens by improving traffic fluidity as best as possible, reducing pollution and saving fuel.

The President directed that the latest construction and engineering equipment and machinery be brought to help accelerate the implementation of various stages of the national projects carried out across the Republic. Additionally, sticking to the principles of accuracy and technical competence should be taken into account, as stressed by the President, since the huge volume of construction work underway all over the Republic demands precision and exactitude in construction.
