President El-Sisi Chairs Meeting of Supreme Judicial Council and Judicial Authorities and Bodies

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi chaired the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council and the judicial authorities and bodies.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi chaired this morning the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council and the judicial authorities and bodies. The members are: Minister of Justice Counselor Omar Marwan, President of the Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC) Counselor Saeed Marie, President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Counselor Abdullah Shawda, and President of the State Council Counselor Mohamed Hossam El-Din.

The meeting was also attended by President of the Cairo Court of Appeal Counselor Essam El-Din Farid, Attorney General Hamada El-Sawy, President of the State Cases Authority Counselor Hussein Fathi, President of the Administrative Prosecution Counselor Ezzat Abu Zeid, and President of the Military Judiciary Major General Salah Al-Ruwaini, as well as Assistant Minister of Justice and secretary-general of the supreme council of judicial authorities and bodies Counselor Najah Ahmed Moussa.

The meeting comes in light of the President’s keenness to promote the role of the Supreme Judicial Council to achieve coordination and cooperation between judicial authorities and bodies. During this follow-up meeting, the President was also updated on the decisions issued by the council at its last meeting as well as efforts to develop and automate the litigation system nationwide.
