President El-Sisi Receives Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Chevron

Today, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received Chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Chevron , Michael Wirth, American international company specialized in petroleum research and exploration, in the presence of Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources ,Tarek El Molla, and a number of Chevron senior officials.

The official spokesman for the Presidency stated that the President affirmed the state's full support for Chevron’s activities in Egypt, particularly in the field of research, exploration and production. This is in addition to the company's extensive experience in both activities and fields of the oil and gas industry globally, which supports the petroleum sector in Egypt pivotally and contributes in maximizing the state’s benefit from its potential resources for the benefit of present and future generations. This comes within the framework of the depth of cooperation and strategic partnership relations that extend between Egypt and the United States in all fields. 

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chevron expressed his appreciation for meeting the President, as well as his pride in the company's activity and presence, which extends over decades in Egypt. He also stressed the company's keenness to develop a strategic partnership with Egypt, considering what Egypt has achieved under the leadership of the President in terms of economic growth and the tangible development boom that the country is witnessing. Moreover in the level of the state’s infrastructure in general and the oil and gas sector in particular.  Furthermore the ongoing regional cooperation projects to connect, transport and liquefy gas, whose importance is growing in the light of the current global energy crisis.
