President El-Sisi Receives Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs

President El-Sisi received, this morning, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, in the presence of Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Sameh Shoukry, and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Egypt Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Thuwaikh.

As stated by the Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah conveyed a letter written by His Royal Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait to President El-Sisi. In the letter, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf extended greetings to His Excellency President El-Sisi and expressed keenness to promote bilateral relations between both countries. His Highness stressed that the Kuwaiti government and people take pride in the close and strong historical ties between Kuwait and Egypt in various fields. Moreover, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf affirmed Kuwait’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Egypt at all levels and foster consultation and coordination on various issues.

The Minister also praised Egypt’s pivotal role in the region as it is the cornerstone of security and stability of the Arab world. In the same vein, he commended Egypt’s continuous keenness to strengthen solidarity among the Arab countries and promote the Arab joint action concerning various issues.

On his part, President El-Sisi asked the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey his greetings to His Royal Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait and his congratulations to the government and brotherly Kuwaiti people on the occasion of Kuwait National Day. His Excellency stressed the strong and distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries. President El-Sisi, in the same regard, affirmed Egypt’s keenness to develop the strong and unique cooperation between both nations at all levels, seeking to consolidate security, stability and development regionally for the good of the peoples of both countries and the Arab nation.

His Excellency expressed his profound appreciation for Kuwait’s reconciliation efforts and affirmed Egypt’s unwavering stance toward supporting Arab solidarity in a way that ensures solidarity to prevent risks to the Arab nation and safeguard its national security.

The Spokesman also added that both parties discussed various aspects of the bilateral relation and held consultations on the latest updates in the region. In this regard, His Excellency reaffirmed the strong connection between the security of the Gulf States with Egypt’ national security. They also agreed on intensifying consultation and coordination between both brotherly nations during the coming period in order to fend off threats to the security and stability of both Arab people and states.
