President El-Sisi Meets the Prime Minister and the Minister of Housing

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Dr. Assem El Gazzar.

The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting reviewed the status of implementing national projects by the Ministry of Housing, particularly the Great Transfiguration Project over the Land of Peace in Sinai, the cities of New Mansoura, New Alamein and Sawary . This is in addition to the development of  Historic Cairo and the establishment of a series of housing projects for all Egyptians.

Dr. El Gazzar presented the progress of work in a number of new cities across the country. He noted that work has been completed in the New Mansoura city, with a length of 15 km directly on the Mediterranean coast, including residential neighborhoods, places of worship, medical care center, commercial and service buildings, water treatment and desalination plants, and power transformers. The President gave directives to scrutinize all services that will be provided to the residents of the New Mansoura city and to carry out cultural coordination in a sustainable manner in line with the atmosphere in the area. 

The meeting also touched on progress of work in the various aspects of the Great Transfiguration Project over the Land of Peace in Sinai, including 

hotel, tourism facilities, services as well as roads and axes leading to the site.The President gave directives to continue exerting efforts to best present this sacred spot in Egypt to humanity and visitors from all over the world, in  appreciation of its unique spiritual value that stems from embracing the three monotheistic religions. This is while taking into account that the buildings and facilities should be in harmony with the ecological nature of the place and increasing reliance on new and renewable energy to preserve the environment. 

The President also followed up on the development of Historic Cairo,  including

ongoing work in Magra El-Oyoun Fence. The President gave directives for work not to be limited to the ancient historical and archaeological monuments, but to extend to all adjacent lands and sites.

The status of the development of the Maspero Triangle area was also presented. The President gave directives for the triangle to be developed in harmony and integration with the various aspects of development taking place in this central area in the capital.

The Spokesman added that Dr. El-Gazzar also presented the ministry's efforts to carry out a project for crafts and technical training for the youth in villages, in cooperation with the Ministry of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs and within the framework of the "Decent Life" and "Life Saving Boats" initiatives. The President gave directives to intensify this type of programs, raise their level and increase the number of young trainees to discover outstanding talents in the craft and technical fields and to sharpen their skills so as to contribute to advancing comprehensive development in Egypt, which needs the talent and creativity of Egyptian hands in all fields.

The status of implementation in the New Alamein city was also presented, as well as the development of construction work in the Sawary Alexandria project, in addition to a reviewing the status of projects in the New Administrative Capital, especially the towers area in the financial and business district.
