President El-Sisi Opens E-JUST Among Other Educational Establishments

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated this morning Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) in Borg El-Arab, Alexandria and other private universities and projects implemented by the ministries of higher education and education, in the presence of Speaker of Parliament Dr. Ali Abdel Al, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and several ministers and senior statesmen.

The opening featured at the beginning the screening of a documentary film about Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that some people will always be skeptical about every measure the state takes and we are going to experience this until we achieve a breakthrough. The Suez Canal is a perfect example as it was subjected to attack; however, we did not stop working.

President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi said that Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly referred to the fact that Germany’s growth rate has been low for 25 years, saying “Germany did not need to implement any water treatment systems, power plants or new infrastructure for the people; therefore, it is now directed towards their welfare”.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that by 2050, the population of Egypt will reach approximately 193 million. President El-Sisi made it clear that Egypt plans to redouble its efforts to meet the expected population increase within 30 years.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi explained that Egypt is of a particular demographic nature, meaning that we can live on only 6% of Egypt’s area. He stressed that this is our reality.

His Excellency also congratulated a number of students for excelling in their studies. He stressed that their excellence was the result of effort, patience and determination, raising hope and proving that one can succeed despite adversity.

Concerning the coronavirus pandemic, His Excellency said that it is necessary to take all the necessary preventive measures and to implement the measures regarding the attendance rate.

President El-Sisi stressed the importance of doing sports to make the utmost use of our potentials. He also said that a sound mind is in a sound body.

The President thanked teachers and physicians who help human beings. In this regard, his Excellency called for improving their conditions.   

The President pointed out that the programs and initiatives aimed at training young people in the field of information technology cost from EGP 3000 to 100,000.

The President also witnessed the opening of several new universities and colleges via video conference. He thanked the government and those who contributed to this great achievement.

President El-Sisi also expressed his profound appreciation and warmest thanks to Prime Minister Shinzō Abe for the support his country offers and for E-JUST which reflects that joint bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Japan. His Excellency gave directives for naming the new phase of the complex after his name “Shinzō Abe”, wishing him a speedy recovery.  

President El-Sisi congratulated the new Japanese Prime Minister, wishing him success in his new post. He also thanked the Japanese ambassador for Japan’s unremitting efforts and support.

The President said that he is betting on the awareness of the Egyptians and that they have always lived up to his expectations. He emphasized that we had many challenges represented in terrorism and in the fields of energy and electricity which we have overcome, by the grace of God.

Concluding the opening ceremony, President El-Sisi went on a tour of inspection of E-JUST in Bord El-Arab.
