President El-Sisi Goes on a Tour of Inspection of Construction Sites in NAC

President El-Sisi went on a tour of inspection of a number of construction sites in the New Administrative Capital this afternoon, including: The City of Arts and Culture, new Opera House – the largest arts and cultural city in the Middle East.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that His Excellency followed up on the implementation status of these projects, while listening to the developments of the project from those in-charge of implementation. The City of Arts and Culture is being constructed based on the latest and highest international standards and the finest architectural designs, becoming a beacon of artistic and cultural innovation and creativity for the entire region. The city is to spread over 127 feddans which will include groups of: theaters, various exhibition halls, cinema theaters, musical orchestra halls, the oud house, libraries, museums – such as the Capital Museum and Arts Museum- and arts exhibition for all modern and traditional arts - such as paintings, sculptures, handicrafts ...etc. The city will also include a tree forest, open theater that can take up to 20000 spectators, mosque that can take up to 600 persons and other service buildings.

The President also inspected Opera House, which is considered a pivotal part of the City of Arts and Culture and its construction plan to be the largest edifice in MENA region. The opera house includes a main hall that accommodates 2200 spectators, two musical and drama theaters, the Artistic Creativity Center and the wax museum.
President El-Sisi praised the construction and engineering levels of the City of Arts and Culture in NAC, reflecting the harmony among various State institution concerned in this regard. In this context, the President stressed that the Egyptian people appreciate all the great efforts being exerted in these mega projects. His Excellency also said that he is looking forward to continuing the path of building and development in Egypt.
