The Egyptian Pound Now

On May 15, 1979, the Central Bank of Egypt issued a new smaller banknote than the previous one with a new design that is used until now. On one side, there is a picture of the Temple of Abu Simbel with two Pharaonic cartouches on its left and right and on the other side there is the picture of Qaytbay Mosque on a background of Arabic inscriptions. It is worth mentioning that this design is still used until today.
