The Pound during the Reign of King Farouk I

King Farouk I was the only Egyptian ruler to print his image on the Egyptian banknotes. In July 1950, the National Bank of Egypt issued the 1-pound note carrying the image of King Farouk I on one side and the Temple of Isis and Trajan's Kiosk on Philae island on the other.
