National Anthem

The National Anthem Now

In December 1982, presidential decree No. 590 was issued. The first article of the decree stipulates that the first verse of Belady, Belady (Homeland) anthem shall be played along with the musical notes in all popular and national celebrations, and that the musical notes of the anthem shall be played only without the lyrics in the case of receiving foreign presidents and delegations and in other cases in which the national anthem of a foreign country is to be played.

O my Homeland, My love and my heart are yours.
Egypt, O mother of all lands, You are all I aspire and cherish.
And for all peoples, your Nile has given countless graces.
O my Homeland, My love and my heart are yours.
