“Ahmed Fadel” Oil Services Vessel

The most recent multi-purpose and supplies vessel that joined the Suez Canal fleet, providing services of oil platforms and gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea and bearing the name of the team, Ahmed Fadel, former Chairman of the Commission, in recognition of his efforts and accomplishments presented via the global facility. This is a strong addition to the Egyptian capabilities in this field.

Ahmed Fadel Vessel works with DP2 system, which ensures that the unit is fixed at a specific point in the sea without the need to throw hooks with a capacity of 9800 kilowatts. The vessel was built by the Chinese shipyard Guangzhou and built by CSSC, which is one of the largest Chinese companies in the field of shipbuilding. It has a total tonnage of 4,744 tons, and it is equipped with a main crane of 75 tons. It also operates with the AHC property, which allows carrying weights of up to 40 tons and fixing them at a specific point below the sea surface at a depth of 2000 meters.

Ahmed Fadel Vessel is characterized by its ability to manoeuver, and it has a fast response. It also contains a major Superjumbo heliport. The vessel is equipped to carry detection and control submarines in the ROV oil lines underwater to a depth of 2000 meters that is controlled remotely. The vessel also has a diving hole on the main deck, with dimensions of 6 x 6 meters, allowing to land and equip drivers, and accommodating 80 people, equipped with meeting rooms to manage offshore projects.
